Police car crash fractures man's pelvis another police blunder

A man is in hospital after a police car was involved in a collision with another vehicle in Sydney.
A male passenger has suffered a fractured pelvis after a police car was involved in a collision with another vehicle in eastern Sydney.

The Highway Patrol car was responding to a routine offence when it hit the passenger side of the vehicle as it was turning on the corner of Greens Rd and Oxford St, in Paddington, at about 7.45am on Thursday.
The male passenger suffered a suspected fractured pelvis, while the female driver escaped injury, a police source told AAP.
Both were taken to St Vincent's Hospital, the woman for observation.
The male police driver was also uninjured.
It is not immediately clear whether the police vehicle's lights and siren were on at the time of the collision, the source said.
The crash investigation unit is on the way to the scene.
