Man arrested after colliding with police

The driver of a marked police car was taken to hospital and a man arrested after a collision with a ute at Chisholm on Sunday morning.
Police said two officers were in the police car on a routine patrol on Deamer Crescent about 11am when they noticed a black ute with no number plates.
The officers turned on their emergency lights and siren, indicating for the driver of the ute to stop. Instead, he accelerated a short distance before losing control of the vehicle.
The ute spun onto the wrong side of the road before crashing into the police car.
The driver of the police car was taken to Canberra Hospital with head injuries.
The driver of the ute was unharmed but was arrested and is expected to be charged with traffic offences.
